Saturday in Town x The Sushi Bar

Was in town this afternoon for the 'Lab Series' roadshow held at Cineleisure! Will share more about it next time~
So anyway..... I was quite happy & shocked at the same time cuz... MY CINE POSTER IS STILL THERE!!!  Lol. I was told that the poster will be taken down on 1st Nov so I was surprised that it's still around~

And therefore, a mandatory shot with it hehe ^^


Also managed to take pics with Don, who is the 2nd Runner Up!



Outfit for today!
Hahaha just realised I wore almost a similar outfit last Saturday which happens to be a rainy day as well!! Recently, I love tie-knot anything on the waist, especially checkered tops!! It really gives an overall different look (just imagine if I took off the tie knot checkered).. it also adds dimension and layers to the outfit!

Told Jj that I wanted to walk around FEP to see if there's anything nice and he suggested having dinner at The Sushi Bar! Of course, I was TOTALLY up for it!! It's so yummy!! I just didn't think that I'll be back at Sushi Bar so soon since my last visit was quite recent!


We arrived at about 6pm and the dinner queue was just so.......... M A D !! Luckily it was moving quite fast, about 30mins wait??

We were then given seats at the counter seats aka sushi bar!



Love seating by the sushi bar... kinda feels like Tsukiji Market in Tokyo~ hehe


My favourites from The Sushi Bar were the Sirloin Steak and the Salmon Aburi! So we ordered these 2 dishes + a few others to try~

SIRLOIN STEAK
When the steak came, Jj was kinda shocked cuz the serving was SMALL.  But yknow this is what I call quality > quantity!! Of cuz if they gave me more steak of the same standard I wouldn't say no la but yeaaa I believe that for the quality of this meat, the price is reasonable!

SCALLOP MENTAIYAKI
This was a last min dish! We were seated right infront of the fresh scallops.. and the chef was like slicing the scallops infront of us to prepare dishes for the other customers so Jj ended up being super tempted! I didn't mind trying something new so we ordered it!
And.. Both of us love this dish too!! The scallop is kinda still half-raw, and with the slight burnt taste on the surface.. it's just so good!! The only downside is that the scallops were sliced to really THIN slices. Wished they were thicker and chunkier!!

SALMON ABURI


Yumzzzz!! But in all honest opinion, I felt like the Salmon Aburi served the previous time when I visited was better!?? Maybe cuz it's a Saturday.. and its dinner time, lots of customers and hence a slight drop of standard~  But it was still nonetheless good la! Just not as great.



SOFT SHELL CRAB SALMON ABURI


This was definitely the HIGHLIGHT for the night!! It was even better than the Salmon Aburi omggg!!!!
Inside the roll, the soft shell crab remained cripsy while the Salmon Aburi on the outside, was soft and kinda 'melts in your mouth'!! Not forgetting the slight burnt fragrance from the salmon, its just soooo good!!!

As I was typing this post, I had also gobbled up a packet of instant noodles. F M L !!!!!

There goes all my effort of losing weight. My target was to lose 8kg in a month but food is just toooo irresistible?!?! I can't say NO to food. Sigh greedy like this. However, I tried to cut down alot of rice/noodles cuz they are pretty much unwanted carbs~
Need to get back to healthy-eating routine and more exercising!! Zoukout and Phuket is coming up real soon, I NEED TO GET RID OF MY JIGGLY FATS!!! :(
