My first trip to Ipoh!

DAY 1 Started our day really early at almost 6am to start our long drive into Ipoh which took us about.... 7 hours? Flights were ridiculously expensive during that period (& limited) due to National Holidays and all prices were jacked up so crazily high.... So H's dad decided to rent a car & a driver to drive us up to Ipoh and fly back to Sg instead!
Finally arrived in Ipoh & checked into our hotel after a few pit-stops with awesome delicious food!! For the first night, we stayed at WEIL Hotel which is a relatively new hotel in Ipoh!

The room was clean, spacious and comfy!


Headed to the rooftop to be greeted with awesome views! WEIL hotel is probably one of the tallest building around the vicinity so it was a good spot to get a bird's-eye view of Ipoh!

Chilled in the hotel for abit with some drinks before heading to Restoran Mun Choong Sdn. Bhd. for dinner! This was recommended by H's local friends who brought us there!

Then went to some drinking place at errrr, I don't really know where. 

Not really a fan of beer so I spent more time playing darts instead hehe.  ps/ stickers to cover up the unaware un-glammed faces of H's friends! lol


DAY 2 Up early the next morning!


And headed to Old Town Ipoh!



H's friends brought us to some local old-school coffeeshop.... it does not look at all legit but the food was good!!

Not a fan of satays usually but I had non-stop sticks of these!! Yummzzz

Finally it was around 2pm and we checked into our 2nd stay of the trip - The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat where we slept for our remaining 2 nights.


Super eco-friendly lah this hotel!! And lookkkkk, that's the natural hotspring!! Heard its about 50degs in the day!



Proceeded into our room and whooaazxxzz it's just too pretty!!!! We spent almost the whole of Day 2 just chilling in our resort and using as much facilities as we possibly can! hahahaha must make the money worth right lolol


Such huge space for only H and I! Can't even fully utilise every single corner man lol

Quickly took out my Sunflower float out to play~




Then we headed out to the hot dipping pot which was 43 degs. Oucchhhh it was so hot!!!





Soaked in the hot dipping pot for almost 15mins before it became unbearable and off we went to the main pool!!

We also did fish spa which was so freaking ticklish!!!!!


Then finally back to our room to shower up for dinner!


That night, we had dinner inside the resort itself! The food wasn't too bad, except that it tasted really 'healthy'. Hahahah. This resort promotes healthy living and does not even provide midnight room service because well, supper is considered bad right? Lololol really interesting uh!



After the dinner, we carried on at Jeff's Cellar which is a wine bar set within a limestone cave!



My first time sipping red wine inside a limestone cave. It was definitely something refreshing!

H's friends then brought us out for even more drinks... to be exact, beer. Lol. This one is called 'Snowflakes Beer' due to how the chilled beer would react with the frozen cups!


DAY 3 Had a relaxing massage at The Banjaran before heading out with H's mum to get our nails done! Meanwhile to curb our hunger, H got us roasted chicken with char siew! Lol


Back to the resort again to just chill & nua our day away!! 


When it was dinner time, H's friends came to pick us up again and brought us to Loklok cuz I was really craving for it! I mean... what's Malaysia without loklok right!!! (at least to me la) lol

This stall, according to them, is the best Loklok in Ipoh! It is located at Ipoh Gardens!

Yummyyyyyy. Why can't we have this in Sg huhhh? :(

2nd part of the dinner was at Restoran Kamwan!


Which looks quite similar to our local coffeeshops!

Food wise.. not too bad either. It reminds me alot of our Bedok 85 kinda food. Hhahahaha
We then chilled at a bar called 'History' for drinks before I went kinda sehhh that night. :( Okay shall let it be history~ lol


DAY 4 Hangover breakfast for us! This place is well known for their beef & noodles!

Before catching our flight back to Sg, we went over to one of H's friend house to play a couple of board games! And look at how huge his house is!!! Doesn't it look like a resort tbh???!!


Thank you H & family for this amazing relaxing trip, and H's friends for always bringing us all around Ipoh, introducing us to the best food & drinking places in Ipoh!! This is my first time to Ipoh and I hope it won't be the last! Lotsa good food yet to be tried
