Many of you guys have been asking me to do a blog post on my recent Boracay trip!
The journey to Boracay itself was pretty tedious!
We stayed at an Airbnb place cuz honestly, I couldn't decide on the hotels. Tried searching for hotels along the beaches but they were super $$$ (and they don't even look impressive to be honest), while the cheaper ones are located further away from the beaches.
The room was comfortable and I really enjoyed my stay here :)
It was already 5.30pm by the time we arrived on the island itself, so we quickly got to work!!
I'll never forget the beautiful sunsets in Boracay
We then took a slow stroll to another part of Station 3, almost nearing Station 2 for our dinner! Took us about 10-15mins by foot?
Loving the beach dining vibes :)
FINALLY FOUND THE RESTAURANT!!
Dos Mestizos serves Spanish Tapas food!
H did the ordering since he's very familiar with Spanish Tapas food.... I was just snapping photos and eating. The dishes were soooooo good!!! Especially the beef.... ahhhh yumz
However, this meal was probably the most expensive meal we had in Boracay!
Dos Mestizos is located at Station 3.
We were pretty tired from all the travelling and turned in extra early that night :)
Woke up bright & early at 9am and saw this view outside of our room!!!
Ahhh such clear blue skies and sea & fine sand.... MISS THIS!!
This calls for a selfie
Came across this sandcastle at the middle of no where and thought it was really interesting!! After I took a shot of this, a few boys came up to me demanding money cuz they claimed the castle was built by them so if I wanna have pictures taken, I gotta pay. I felt damn cheated, I mean... seriously?? They must have been hiding behind trees waiting for potential tourists like us to fall trap lor. :(
Headed to the middle part of Station 3 to have our Parasailing!!!
On the speedboat out to the open sea :D
Thank you H for accompanying me on the ride even though you are not a fan of heights!
Flying up.... and honestly I was a little afraid myself too. Hahahaha
Up high in the sky!
Hahaha our boatman cum camera man damn cute!?!?? He took my camera and took such interesting shots for me :D He even recorded videos for me even though I didn't tell him to! Damn good
Selfies in the air!
This $30 was so worth it compared to the one I paid in Phuket!
I also drove the speedboat back to shore. Hahahah i kid la. Only drove it for a mere 30seconds for this picture hehee. Our boatman sped damn freaking fast back to shore... it felt like rollercoaster!! So exhilarating lah I was screaming non stop
Yellow Cab Pizza is located at Station 2.
More outfit shots...
Frolicking in the sea!! It was sooooo hot, being in the cooling water seems like the only option hehe
Selfie non stop in the water hahahaha opps
Candid shot by the boy
Chilled at Red Pirates Bar which is right outside where we stayed. Only like... 5 seconds away. hahahhaa. We chilled over at Red Pirates Bar most of the time... the bartender is really good and I enjoyed the cocktails he made. It was also damn cozy and convenient for us..... & that explains why we were there every single night.
Showered and took even more outfit shots. Xin ku le H. Big hugs for him!!
Gorgeous sunset every evening :)
H and I chilled with Peter and wife over sunset @ Red Pirates Bar before heading for dinner!
Fresh seafood by the beach! It wasn't too bad except that I thought it was quite pricey. This was our 2nd most expensive meal in Boracay! Lol
Paraiso Grill is located at Station 2.
Chill vibes only
We probably spent the night drinking cocktails again at Red Pirates Bar while engaging in small talks with some of the locals before retiring for the night :)
DAY 3
Had a late breakfast/early lunch @ LEMONI CAFE (Ranked 5th on Tripadvisor)
I tried their famous Tiger Prawns Risotto while H had some beef thingy lol
The risotto was SO.FREAKING.GOOD + DAMN AFFORDABLE
We also tried their Mango Madness which was insanely yummehzzz. Me want some nowz
Lemoni Cafe is located in Station 2, inside D'Mall.
We then took a tricycle and headed to Puka Beach!
The waters here were insanely clear!! x 100 clearer that of White Beach!!
It was also less crowded than White Beach! Good for phototaking hehe
We then headed to Boracay Horse Stables thinking we could ride the horses around White Beach.... but to be told we can't . We could only ride it on Bulabog Beach which is a 2hours journey on the horse back. We didn't have the time for it so we just took a few photos with the horse at the stables! lol
85% of the time, I was really afraid of the horse. So afraid that it'll go berserk and kick me?? Lol
Another attempt with the horse but still got the gek-sai face LOL
Okay that's not that bad!! But look how unwilling the horse is...... LOL
Mustered enough courage and went up the horse to take a few more shots.
We went back to Station 1 in search of Jonah's Fruitshake!
JONAH'S FRUITSHAKE (Ranked 28th on Tripadvisor)
We had the Banana Choco Peanut Shake which was highly recommended when I read blogs/reviews/forums online. It was good la but I am not a fan of peanuts... so I didn't go gaga over it like how the others did. If you're a fan of peanuts, then this is a must try for you!!
Back to Station 3 for more pictures!
Peter and wife brought us to this new 5 stars hotel located at Station 3, very sorry but I really can't recall the name at all :( It was happy hour and we had 1 for 1 cocktails. Drank till seh hahahahahaha
And we caught pretty sunsets over there again!
Cotton Candy Skies!!
Serves Peri Peri chicken, pork etc! Cheap & good!
Spicebird is located at Station 2, inside D'Mall.
We spent the remaining night by the beach seats of Red Pirates Bar sipping cocktails once again and star gazing!! There were just SO MANY STARS. I tried capturing them, can see a few of them la hor? hehe
DAY 4
We had brunch @ THE SUNNY SIDE CAFE (Ranked 2nd on Tripadvisor)
I guess I was expecting alot out of it since it was ranked 2nd.... but it really disappointed us :(
Still, the food wasn't that bad lah. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items? Hmmm
A photo together before leaving! Thank you for hosting us and thank you for the beautiful memories :)
I'll definitely be back to visit Boracay again (& DEFINITELY WITH LESSER OUTFITS) so that I can truly enjoy my time here, without having to rush to take outfit shots!!
A picture with the boy too! I think its only easier to take pictures with him when we are overseas?? But even so, it's still pretty difficult. Lol. I had to keep telling him "Its for memories, for our memories!!! Please???" then he'll agree reluctantly
It was pretty high tide the day we left and it felt storm-ish.... hahahah probably it rained heavily the day we left? Damn grateful for the awesome weather when we were there!! It was sunny every single day :D
Nice post👍
