Tokyo Day 6: GINZA & ODAIBA

*Psss/ Super duper long post ahead!*


We started off the day by eating my FAVVV BEEF BOWL RICE!! I actually prefer the beef bowl rice from 松屋 as compared to Yoshinoya! but anyway, both are equally cheap & good! It is really so much better and cheaper as compared to the Yoshinoya in Singapore!!
And Jj can sometimes be so weird. Its like he wants to eat the beef rice too but he doesn't believe in paying for 2 of the same food. He likes varieties so he'll always choose something different from mine and regret later when he realised how mine was much better than his. Lol
First stop of the day was to GINZA!

Honestly.. there was nothing much there. Think of it as like our Orchard Road?? Lots of shopping malls.. lots of high end brands~

Saw Laduree while we were crossing the road and decided to have High Tea here!

Really love the Laduree here cuz it was so nicely decorated and so cozy inside!!
We were given the window seat so we could enjoy our high tea while enjoying the view of busy Ginza streets!






Anyway.. I was quite upset that the staff in Laduree didn't allow me to take pictures of the beautiful macarons and cakes that were on display at the counter la! I mean... I don't see why I can't take pics of it?? :(


Ordered a Rose Petal (my favourite!!) and Marie Antoinette for the macarons cuz I think they were the nicest among the other flavours I tried when I was in Sg! Also, ordered a pretty looking cake but I can't remember what flavour it was already lol.





Thankyou bebe for having this High Tea session with me! I know you're not a fan of sweet stuff and high tea etc but you'd still gladly accompanied me when I said I wanted to!! YOU ARE THE BEST!! *blows kisses* hehe


Then we visit Kabuki-Za/Theatre at Ginza! Actually I'm also not sure what this is la.. but lonely planet said its worth a visit and since we were in the vicinity.. why not!?

Ginza was pretty boring for us since we were not planning to do excessive shopping in Japan, much less high-end brands shopping!! So we went to ODAIBA!! It was such a nice place.. I wished I could spend an entire full day over there.


Think of Odaiba as like our Singapore's Sentosa! It's a man made island in Tokyo Bay and there are lots of sightseeing places/shopping malls over here! Just like how we can't cover the entire Sentosa in a day, its impossible to cover Odaiba within a day too! Really wished I had more time.. :(

Since we had only 6hours to spare, we shortlisted only a few sights to visit which were all near to one another! First was to PALETTE TOWN!


The Toyota Universal Design Showcase is over here!




Didn't spend alot of time here since it was just cars and more cars... grabbed a few photos and zao!

Also within PALETTE TOWN is this mall called Venus Fort!


OHYA DID I MENTION?? ODAIBA WAS REALLY QUIET AND PEACEFUL! It was quite a nice escape from the hustle and bustle touristy places in Tokyo. No idea why there were so little tourists here.. Both Jj and I concluded its a paradise for couples!! There's so much to do here with your loved one!! And indeed, we only saw alot of couples around but not tourists, families etc.

Venus Fort is also where I bumped into this Hellokitty paradise!!

When I stepped in... I literally *SQUEALLLL* Not to mention there wasn't much people inside (like less than 5) so I could camwhore all I want without being judged!!



Unicorn x hellokitty = BIG LOVE = perfect place for ootd shots. Lol





Indeed a Kawaii Paradise!! If I have a daughter next time, I'll totally decorate her room this way!! *.*




The sweety bf also attempted to catch the HK plushie for me!! Too bad.. luck wasn't on our side :(




Okay that's the end of my Hellokitty adventure. Lol!!


Dog cafe but I didn't see any dogs roaming around leh :(

Within Venus Fort itself is very pretty too cuz it totally looks like Venetian!!

A trip to Odaiba wouldn't be complete without visiting the famous Gundam.. So we visited the next main area - FUJI TV AREA!
TADAHHHHH GUNDAM LOL

Went into Diver City cuz the Gundam was just beside it!


And saw FREAKING CUTE PUPPIES!!!!



btw, IGNORE MY FUGLY SLIPPERS PLEASE!! My shoes started being a bitch and it was sooo painful! Chanced upon a 100yen shop so I decided to grab a pair of slippers!


Super love the top centre pic!! The white puppy seems to be surrendering while the greyish puppy has this sly look like "I'm gonna catch yaa..." LOL.


Then to Aqua City!!


Where we saw both the Rainbow Bridge and the fake Statue of Liberty!



One day, I'll be in New York to see the real one!! :) And yea I replaced the torch with my hellokitty.. hehehe ^^








Love and I together with the rainbow bridge! I was freeeezinggggg... didn't expect Odaiba to be so cold! It was much colder than the main Tokyo, and there I was in slippers and a dress.. *legs shiver*

Moving on.... to Decks Tokyo Beach!!

Visited Joypolis which was inside Decks Tokyo Beach Mall!

Its an indoor theme park!! We almost bought tickets to enter but in the end decided not to cuz all the rides seemed scary. Lol. There's even a Sadako haunted house inside~ Damn creepy please!!


Other places we chanced upon which looks really... RETRO??

And yet again another haunted house popping out of nowhere!



See!! There's just so much entertainment to do here!! Just that Jj and I really hate haunted house kinda stuff la so we didn't give it a try!

So we were walking in Decks Mall and came across TOKYO TRICK ART MUSUEM!!
I immediately knew I had to enter it!! I've been to the one in Seoul before and I really love it! So I wanted to see how Tokyo one was~ (you can view my blog entry here on Trick Art Musuem Seoul HERE )

I realised this Trick Art Musuem kinda has a theme in every different room.. Like this one is more of a 'Creepy' theme!

After which, we walked back to Aqua City for RAMEN!! The 5th floor houses a ramen food theme park where you can try different ramen from all over Japan!



Super duper yummy... I'm so hungry now!!!

And we finally left Odaiba with much sadness cuz there were other places we did not cover! We only managed to visit 2 out of the 4 main attractions - Palette Town and Fuji TV Area!


Back to Shinjuku where our hotel was.. Shinjuku also houses the most famous red light district in Tokyo so we decided to check it out!

See the barriers at the bottom of the pic?? Once passed through the barriers, its the red light district area!




Sadly.. there wasn't much to see.. lol.  I thought will have girls yknow standing around etc.. but most girls were all hidden inside the store covered with curtains! Men were the ones standing outside asking passerbys to enter! Mehhh



So we made our way back to our hotel...
