Noryangjin Fish Market
Noryangjin Fish Market!! Surprisingly it's not smelly at all!! Was totally expecting those fishy fishy smell!!!
REGRETS. We didn't order these prawns!!!!!! Looks damn nice right!!
Hey crabby crabby!!
Octopus!!!
Gonna be our lunch soon!!
Choosing the fishes and calculating how much it is~
Slicing the fish!! Just a moment ago the fish was still alive!!! Kinda sad right..
Our fish which became Sashimi. REALLY FRESH SASHIMI, LITERALLY. Cuz like 5mins ago it was still swimming in the tank, and next.. it's already served as sashimi on our plates. So good!!!!
RAW OCTOPUS. EEEWWW. So squishy and mushy and it was still moving ok!!!! Even though it was already cut into pieces!!
Cheryl and I got no guts to try it... so WE LEAVE IT TO THE BOYZZ. Jj wanted to end his misery quick so before I could snap a picture, he ate his share already :( Okay so this is Zhihao~
And we asked them to cook the raw octopus for us!! It's really nice omg so yummy!!
OUR CRAB~
NOMZ
Crab Meat Fried Rice.
OMG AND THIS IS REALLY THE HIGHLIGHT OF EVERYTHING!! (I feel).... half of the fish was used as Sashimi and the other half, they used it to cook into a soup for us.
SO. DAMN. GOOD.
Eat until I want to cry... the soup base really OMGZ. Just thinking about it makes me feel like crying cuz I want it soooooo bad now!!! Love it especially with all the vegetables, gives a crunchy overall feeling!! I think I can never ever find such soup in SG :(
SOJU SOJU
This meal was by far, the MOST expensive meal we had in Korea!! It costs approx $30/person so that makes it $120 for the entire meal!! Besides paying to the fishmongers for whatever fish/prawns/crab you've bought, there will be additional charges to cook them!! They don't charge for handling the sashimi for you though.
Okay so after lunch, we headed over to Ewha Womans University!! Must be thinking what are we doing in a Uni right???
YES CUZ THERE'S SHOPPING!!! LOTS OF LOTS OF IT!!!
AND VERY VERY CHEAP!! Most stuff are like $5-$10~~
Really cold and windy day!!!
And this is Ewha Womans Uni (I think...) SO PRETTY RIGHT!!! The structure and everything feels very United Kingdom-ish~ I want to study in a school like this too. :(
That marks the end of one of the random day I had in Seoul!!
Sometimes I wished Singapore is really bigger??? Then there's always something to do over the weekends. Like some roadtrip to somewhere. Or more places of interests and I can take pictures almost everyday!! Aites! Goodnight!!!! :)

Hi Shenny,
ReplyDeleteHow do u guys tell the store people how u want ur seafood to be cooked?
Also, are the prices indicated on the store or they just anyhow quote coz I read that some of them will "carrot" u coz they knw u r tourist.
Thks!
Hi there!!
ReplyDeleteYeap we did! For the fish actually they were the ones who suggested to go half sashimi, half cooked so we get to try both! For the soup base, there's the clear kind non spicy (which was what we chose) and the spicy one.... Both are great I heard!!! If u dont want the fish to be in soup form, there's also bbq form which i wanted to try. But the obasan said they are more famous for the soup base! :D
For the squid, yea u can tell them u want to try abit of raw and cooked the rest!
And for the price, there's alot of bargaining. Anw there's ALOT of stores there so if u think it's ex, u can just say no and walk to the next store. Usually they will ask u back and give more discounts~
Welcome!!
