Btw its insane!! A whopping number of 7125 pictures taken during this whole trip ok!!! Imagine the chore of sorting out those pictures (according to places).. like an album for San Frans, one for Las Vegas.... plus plus plus the resizing of these pictures!!! Most are taken by B's DSLR so imagine the size of those pictures... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh~
Ok so anw... here's Day 2 in Peru, Cuzco Day 1!
Alrighty, so the day we touched down in LA, that night itself we are supposed to fly to Lima (Peru), timing was kinda rushed already right... but being kiasu singaporeans us, we assumed that there was still time so we went to our first stop - factory outlet for some shopping before heading back home to pack our luggage for Peru.
Abit (!!!!) right....... we're supposed to reach LAX airport at 10.30pm, and i can rmb i was still packing my luggage when it was 9pm. =.= And the drive from my sis's place to the airport takes around.. probably.. 35mins? OMG IT WAS TOTAL MADNESS!! And everyone not bathed yet! Best! So anw.. we managed to reached the airport at around... 11.30pm... and
GATES CLOSED.
Piang eh... But then we kept pleading with the people, and lucky us, we managed to get onto our flight..
*PHEW*
Us looking all dead from the 7hrs of flight. Sorry i had no face to face the camera man... make-up less and looking really gross~ :(
And 7hrs of flight did not even bring us to our destination ok! Its just a stop-over in San Salvador!
After make-up looking much better :p (Make up is really one of the best invention in the world ok!)
Ok that aside........here comes the sad part.
But to cut story short...
WE MISSED OUR CONNECTING FLIGHT TO COSTA RICA....................... :(
Which means we'll miss our next connecting flight to Lima already.. gua gua gua...
Ended up having to pay an extra of USD$550 for 3people to fly straight to Lima can. URGHHHHH~
So instead of the original time of touching down in Lima at 3pm.. we ended up reaching at around 8pm. All thats left to do was to find a hostel to slp before flying (AGAIN!!!) to Cuzco the next morning......

The next morning, our driver brought us to this market to get some local Peruvian food!

And then again.................... because we spent too much time in the market choosing what to eat.. we ended up having no time to eat our food there. So we had to take away and once again.... CHIONG TO THE AIRPORT.
Sometimes i really feel like the whole of Peru's trip is like the show "The Amazing Race" cuz most of the time, we are in our backpacks rushing around, always running (and i mean really RUNNING) to the airport and then all panting at the gates.. Awww~ Those memories~

WE FINALLY REACHED CUZCO!!!! :D
And cuzco, as predicted by CNN weather forecast, was drizzling that very day! So we had our raincoats on!!
=.= YEA I KNOW WE LOOK TOTALLY RIDICULOUS WITH ONE BAG INFRONT & ONE BAG AT THE BACK.... OMG WE LOOK DAMN BULKY~
Went to get some Alpaca hats to keep our head warm... its COLDDDDDDD in Cuzco..
First stop: Plaza De Armas
Not long after reaching Plaza De Armas, these 2 girls approached me and u know being Peruvians, they dont really speak good english. So they were showing me their camera.. then pointing me and then pointing back at themselves (u get my drift??), so i thought they were asking me to snap a picture for them. So i happily agreed and took their camera to my side. And then they took it back and i was like (????)..
Then they were like "No no.. you.. me... take take"..
And then i realised they wanted a picture with me!!!!
It was weird la! Like why on earth will they want to take a picture with me?!?! Haha... so i just agreed without knowing the reason behind. Erjie joined in the fun too!
We are damn zai ok! Carrying backpacks and doing jump shots!

The Cathedral:
Then we went inside the Cathedral to have a look..... Its really grand inside, but too bad photography isn't allowed. :(
So after we came out of the Cathedral... suddenly this group of young girls ran towards us. And again... ASKING US FOR PICTURES. By now.. i understand why.
Because we Asians are really rare over there. Y'know.. we are like superstars. And given that not much Peruvians actually get to travel to USA, much less Asia, of cuz they usually dont associate with Asians.
So yea.. we hear the common words/phrases like "Chinos Chinos", "Japanese Japanese??" etc.. lol.
Ok back to this.. this group of girls really ran crazily towards us. But they all only wanted to take pictures with B :(
Look at the first pic where the girl places her arm on B.. wah u shld have heard the rest of the girls screaming man. Haha, that explains B's face. It was hilarious la!

So after a long day............ we took a cab for approx 4hrs to Ollantaytombo so that we can set off really early the next morning to Machu Picchu!
Found a hostel to stay before heading out for our first proper meal of the day... which was like 9pm already. =.=
Coco tea thats supposed to help us fight off the altitude sickness. Well actually i didnt really felt giddy, dizzy or anything like that. Just felt really really breathless cuz the oxygen level was really REALLY thin.. just walking a few steps can make us pant like mad as if we were running. Ahhhhh~
All looking dead and tired~
