Discover Thailand: 3D2N in Bangkok + Win a trip to Thailand!

1 edited

You guys should probably know by now how much I love Thailand! I love the people, they are always so friendly and full of smiles :) I absolutely love Thai cuisine as well, ahhh talk about the perfect combination of both spicy and sour! Most importantly, Thailand is sooooo big, there are just so many parts to be explored! From clear blue sea and white sand beaches to the city life, Thailand has it all covered!

This year alone, I've already visited Bangkok 3 times and yet, I'm still not a single bit bored of it!! That's just how awesome Thailand is :D Today, I'll be sharing with you guys a 3D2N Bangkok Itinerary (this is especially useful if it's your first time to Bangkok!)!
Ps: Read till the end to find out how you can win a free trip to Thailand!

DAY 1 (FRIDAY)
Grand Palace // Wat Arun // Lebua State Tower // RCA or Thonglor

Once you have touched down in Bangkok early in the morning, proceed on to deposit your luggage at your hotel! Then onwards to Grand Palace, which is a must-see-sight for every visitor to Bangkok! Within the Grand Palace complex are a few impressive buildings including the Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) which is regarded as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. For 150 years, the Grand Palace was the home of the Thai King, the Royal Court and the administrative seat of government. The Grand Palace complex is definitely impressive and remains as the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

Once you're done with the Grand Palace, take a short ferry ride across the river to visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). Wat Arun is a really stunning temple that is colourfully decorated, and it is often considered as one of the most beautiful temple in Thailand!

When you're done with both the Grand Palace and Wat Arun with some time to spare, you could also walk around the vicinity as this area used to be the old city town! :)

Just when night falls, head over to Lebua at State Tower for a lovely romantic dinner while overlooking the beautiful city skyline! I really love the atmosphere here! This is also where they filmed the famous movie - Hangover 2! You could also chill the rest of your night here, the cocktails are really good too!

However, if you still have that extra bit of energy, I would suggest visiting the night life in Bangkok! Try RCA where it houses popular clubs like Route 66 and OYNX. If you prefer a chill night, Thonglor also offers alot of cool pubs such as Myst, Bad Motel, Iron Fairies etc!

DAY 2 (SATURDAY)
Chatuchak Market // Union Mall or Platinum Mall //
Rod Fai Night Market 2 or Artbox Bangkok

Rise and shine! Today is a shopping day! What is Bangkok without some shopping right? :D
A visit to Chatuchak Weekend Market in the late morning is a MUST! In Chatuchak, the food and shopping is NEVER-ENDING!! Besides the food and clothing section, there are also other sections for furniture, pets, antiques etc! Literally, shop till you droppppppp!

Oh and don't forget to get yourself a scoop of yummy coconut ice cream! Perfect for the hot weather!

Although Chatuchak market is really big and a full day would not even allow you to cover everything, I'd suggest leaving Chatuchak after 4 hours to make time for other malls! Personally, I would always visit Union Mall after Chatuchak since it is only one MRT stop away!
9

It is yet another shopping heaven! Also, I think there is a good mixture of both female and male apparels here!
10

The other popular mall is definitely Platinum Mall located at Pratunam! If Union Mall is not for you, then do give Platinum Mall a try! Over here, it is a wholesale mall which means the more you buy, the more discount you get!
11

6 levels of crazy shopping!!

By the time you're done with the malls, it is probably night time! And now it's the time for NIGHT MARKETS!!! Personally, I really like Rod Fai Night Market 2 (Ratchada) and so I would like to recommend it to you guys!
14

This night market is divided into 3 sections - food, apparels and lastly, pubs! Perfect isn't it? First, you can have your dinner here before shopping till you droppppp again! Finally, end off the night with some ice cold beer at one of the many pubs!

The next night market I would recommend is Artbox Bangkok which is a really new-in-thing currently in Bangkok! Artbox Bangkok is definitely less messy than the usual night markets, and it's a lil more arty farty as well!

Similarly, there are food, apparels and some stores which sells drinks. Probably the only downside is the lack of seats here!

You will probably be all worn out by now so it's time for a good night sleep :)

DAY 3 (SUNDAY)
Floating Market // Erawan Shrine // Home Sweet Home

It's finally down to our last day in Bangkok! Since it's our last day, let's make an effort and wake up a little earlier and visit the legendary Floating Market in Bangkok! A floating market is a market where goods are sold from boats. Some of the more popular ones in Bangkok includes Amphawa Floating Market, Damnoen Floating Market, Talin Chan Floating Market, Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market etc~

After visiting the floating market, it's time to head back to the city! Before heading to the airport, do also drop by the famous Erawan Shrine which is one of the most visited temples in Bangkok!

If there's still some time to spare before your flight, you could also walk around Central Mall to get some last minute souvenirs or snacks! ;)
