Cebu: Bantayan & Virgin Island
Palm trees, ocean breeze,
salty air, sun kissed hair.
That endless summer,
take me there.
Part 2 of my Cebu Travelogue:
From Cebu, I took a cab (journey approx 2.5hours) to Hagnaya Port.
From the port, its another 1.5hour of ferry ride to Bantayan Island.
After docking, the hotel's minibus was there awaiting for our arrival. Journey from the port to the hotel was about 10mins.
Choice of hotel was at Anika Island Resort, Bantayan.
Love it that the hotel was situated right beside the beach!!! :D
Checked in and was brought to my hotel room!
I decided to stay at their beach view rooms cuz it was my birthday and I wanted to stay a lil better~
Arrived at my room and saw these lovely flower petals scattered all over, leading right up to the room's entrance.
And a mini surprise inside!! :)
View from my beach view room at Anika Island Resort:
The beautiful beach right outside my room, merely a 5m walk away.
Omg I miss this place already :(
It was really peaceful and quiet too. Just the way I like it :)
Honestly I wasn't sure if its usually this quiet or if I went when it was off season.. Nonetheless I enjoyed my stay here!
The same day after checking in, I also took an hour's boat ride to a nearby island called Virgin Island.
VIRGIN ISLAND
This is probably by far one of the prettiest island I ever been to!
The entire island was filled was seashells and more seashells.... all I could hear were waves crashing & sounds of the seashells clinking one another. It was such an amazing experience for my sense of sight and hearing.
Clear blueeeee sea :)
Just the sea, sand, sky and I.
See what I meant!! Shells all over.... I am in love!
Did some snorkelling too. A pity there wasn't much fishes cuz the tide was quite high~
A selfie after my snorkel and swim!
& spent the rest of my time just chilling like this, watching the world go by.
Ahhhhh I miss the beach!!!!!!
It was around 6pm and time to head back to the resort before the sky turned dark.
Really glad that I managed to visit these places while I am still young.
I honestly can't imagine myself going through all these travels (long car rides, ferry rides, boat rides etc) when I am over 40.. It's gonna be so tiring and hectic.
That is why I am an advocate in travelling around the world when I am still young and active!
Arrived at the resort to witness this beautiful sunset :)
The view right from the balcony of my room.
The next day, I travelled around the city of Bantayan!
Travelled around the city via a scooter!
The easiest, most convenient and cheapest way to get around the city! It was quite an adventure!
St Peter & Paul Church
When it was evening time, I headed over to Madridejos Kota Park!
It is quite a popular local place to view the sunsets without any view disruptions!
Enjoy every sunset
& look forward to every sunrise~
And that is the end of my Part 2 adventures (Bantayan) in Cebu!
There's still 2 more parts coming up so hopefully I'll get the pictures sorted out soon :)
