Tokyo Day 4: DISNEYSEA

Day 4 saw us heading to Disneysea~ I was super stoked about it because Disneysea is really one of a kind and also partly because I've been to Disneyland Anaheim in the USA twice so I wanted something new! We woke up very early that day just to reach Disneysea on time at 10am!

And yknow everyone in Japan is soooo CRAZY over DUFFY and SHELLIE MAY. It's like... I cannot even describe how crazy it is. Every school girl would have a keychain or some sort on their bags... and everyone on the disney train had a Duffy with them!  So.. I KNEW THAT I JUST HAD TO GET ONE TOO!!

Anyway, I got my Minnie Mouse hairband from Bangkok at only 5bux!!! If you get it from Disney store itself, it's gonna cost you at least thrice the amount. Luv cheap thrills like this!

Anyway, Jj's family were also in Japan at that point of time so we arranged to visit Disneysea together!

So while waiting, I went to the Disney store and got myself BOTH DUFFY AND SHELLIE MAY. Actually.. I only wanted one. But I just couldn't decide which to get... cuz both were equally cute!

Tower of Terror!!
Acclaimed to be the BEST ride in Disneysea.. and we actually queued 2hours just for this ride. And finally.... when it was our turn. I ACTUALLY GAVE IT UP. Cuz before entering, they gave a brief introduction of the story behind Tower of Terror and that frightened me ALOT. Even Jj's mum was scared after the intro but she sat the ride anyway~ But I was really afraid like.. on the verge of crying?? Lol. So I backed out in the end. Ahhhh~

In the end... THEY TOLD ME IT WAS NOT AS SCARY AS THE INTRODUCTION LOR. And the falling feeling wasn't as bad as expected too so... hai kinda regret now actually!! Ohwell!!









Disneysea is soooooooooooooo huge!!




I love flowers I love flowers so much!! Anyway it's such a genius idea to have such photo-spots for your Duffy/Shellie May to sit on!

Ohyea one thing good about Disneysea is that you don't actually have to stand in the line... queue and wait for your turn, but this is only possible IF YOU HAVE THE FAST PASS!! And nope, you don't have to pay any extra for these fast pass at all! AWESOME RIGHT?? You just gotta be there super early, and RUNNN for the attractions that provide fast pass because they run out pretty fast, especially for the popular rides! Sadly when we were there, the only fast pass available left was for StormRider, a stimulator ride which was quite interesting also~
So we took the fast pass and returned to take the ride only at the stipulated time! Meanwhile, we can make use of the time to queue for other rides or go grab a bite~






20 000 Leagues Under the Sea!!
Saw the video on youtube for this ride and it looked so magical and nice!!  But it was actually quite disappointing la. And it was too dark to take any nice pictures too! :(

After taking so many calm and kiddy rides, I told myself that I NEED TO TAKE AT LEAST ONE THRILL RIDE.  So we wanted to take the Journey to the Center of the Earth which is a rollercoaster ride... but sadly IT WAS CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE THAT DAY. Yup so I pretty much sat alot of kiddy rides that day. lol

Then when it was evening time, it got SUPERRR COLD especially when the wind starts to blow. And I didn't bring any outerwear with me cuz I thought my knit sweater was enough... and weather forecast said it's gonna be like 18-20°C.. but little did I know that it was near 13°C that night!! It was sooo cray. Actually I pity Jj more la cuz I wore his cardigan and he had to brave the cold himself. Lol

Disneyland's night finale definitely WINS Disneysea's finale HANDS DOWN!! Especially in terms of fireworks!! The fireworks I saw in Disneyland was unbeatable, esp with the pretty castle as a backdrop! It's even nicer than our NDP fireworks lol


After the finale ended, we left immediately cuz we were super tired, hungry and cold!
It was another 1 hour journey back to Shinjuku cuz Disneysea is slightly outside of Tokyo so travelling time was kinda long~
Had ramen somewhere near our hotel and it was SOOOO GOOD!! Or probably because we were too hungry?? Lol but anyway, everytime we walked into any random restaurant to eat, most of the time it's good!! You can never have bad food when in Japan~ Even the Yoshinoya is so much better than the ones in Singapore!!



And a new Hellokitty plushie Jj's mum and sister got for me from Tokyo Sanrioland! Didn't visit Sanrioland cuz I reckon it's gonna be damn childish and boring for my dear macho bf. Lol. But so happy to receive a gift from there!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D
