SUICA Card which is the best amongst the other cards cuz it can be used in Tokyo, Kyoto as well as in Osaka!
Airport express train! So comfy and fast! Journey was about an hour!
I MIZZ MY PURPLE HAIR.
Waiting for cabbies in Shinjuku cuz we didn't know the way to our hotel~
Can't believe we took cabs in Japan when they are so well known to be SUPER EXPENSIVE... and we even took it 3 times!! Luckily all of our cab rides were about a mere 5mins journey which costs us about $10?? Can't imagine if we were to take a 20mins cab journey lol
Hotel Shinjuku Listel
Anyway, luckily I had a blazer with me so I put it on and was ready to roam the streets of Shinjuku in my.. SLIPPERS. Mehhh my feet was so damn cold the whole time
Freshen up and all ready to go!
Happy3friends
We were super hungry and settled at the first ramen stall we saw - GUANG MIAN.
Super huge serving and there were SO MUCH NOOOOODLES... even a big eater like me couldn't finish the entire bowl!
nomnomnom
So we practically walked the entire stretch of Shinjuku .. we went to Takashimaya, Tokyo Hands (very famous departmental store here!!), Isetan, ALOT of different disney stores lol. And pretty much spent almost an hour plus inside F21 buying clothes to wear for the next day because I had no more clothes with me!! Also, I went to ABC Mart to get myself a pair of NewBalance kicks cuz my feet was simply freeeeezzzinggg!!
Favourite cheapo shop!! I bought like fake lashes for standby because everything I brought was left inside my missing luggage.. I also got myself a spare hp charger, all for only 100Yen! Yay!
Uniqlo everywhere and this is one HUGE HUGE HUGE Uniqlo in Shinjuku!
First dinner in Japan.. and we were all so excited to order our food via the vending machine!! It was something very novel to me and very fun at the same time! Wished there's pictures of the food on the buttons because more than half the time, we were trying to match the words + price on the menu with the words + price on the machine, making sure that that's what we want. Lol.
Then back to the hotel to rest!!
Lighting in the train was too good so I had to shamelessly take a selfshot. LOL
Bf analysing the ever confusing subway map
Can't deny we are tourists uh
HACHIKO STATUE!!!
Hot and sunny day in Shibuya!
Had ramen again for our first meal of the day. Lol we were so sick of ramen after this meal..
As if my ramen bowl wasn't huge enough, it even came together with another bowl of Chicken with Rice. CARBS OVERLOAD MAN. I feel so bad for not finishing my food every time because I think Japanese takes alot of pride in their food. Like if you don't slurp the noodles/soup loudly, it is an indication that the food isn't nice. So I think it goes the same for not finishing your food, it's like an indication that the food is not to your liking.. but NOOOOOOO ITS NOT TRUE. The serving is just too huge for me to finish!! I really wonder how Japanese girls still stay so slim and petite!!
Cutie dogs we saw in Shibuya!
NUUUUUU~~ So cruel!! Seeing this restaurant reminds me of those documentaries I've always watched on the TV.. like the Antis trying to attack those whaling ships to stop them from killing the whales! They always claim that they kill the whales for experimental and research purposes but we all know that the whales are meant to be killed to be served on these diners plates :(
SHIBUYA 109
Anyway, Karx and I got separated inside cuz we were at different shops looking at different stuff and went separate ways. Then Jj and I decided to get a drink at Starbucks hoping that there'll be free wifi!!
Took a picture with this gorgeous jap girl cuz she was talking to me and asking me where I got my bag from.. and where have I gone to and am I enjoying Japan yada yada.. So friendly!!
Favourite Green Tea Latte!
Visited Shibuya Love Hill because there is alot of Love Hotels here. Love hotels are really cool because they have different themes ranging from arabian to caribbean styles so we wanted to check the hotels out!!
SADLY... we couldn't. I tried going into one of the hotels cuz I wanted to see the interior but it was empty and I got scared lol. So I opened up my guidebook, read and then realised.... most love hotels actually don't have a receptionist so as to maintain privacy for the couples checking in. Like they don't wanna make the couples feel embarrassed kinda thing? Usually, the couples will pick the room of their choice via a vending machine. IKR VENDING MACHINE AGAIN?? Then the key of the room will drop out and there you go!!
Reading what other things to do in Shibuya... Lonely Planet is my best travelling partner since years ago!
SHIBUYA CROSSING
Le bf took this shot of me.. haha I look like I'm promoting this bottle of Peach drink please
Went into one of the departmental store basement and chanced upon this!! And it's like only $5?? So I asked the chef if this was Sashimi cuz I thought it looked kinda weird since it was in cubes form instead of sliced form. And the chef said "YEA YEA". I did the "can I eat this?" action.. he went "YEA YEA".
Pretty desserts!
NB 574 :D
Got colder at night and had to put on an outerwear! Got this biker jacket & scarf from F21!
Tried to find this store - Ranking Ranqueen to death also because Shinjuku is huge like this.
Wanted to get alot of things from here but finally decided only on these 2. The shimmery pen to create the aegyo-sal effect and teeth whitener!! :D Both were ranked 1st for the month of May!
Then had dinner at Standing Sushi Bar (Shinjuku outlet)!
As the name implies.... humans stand while eating. I am actually not a fan of standing while eating cuz my mum always tells me that it's not good for digestion if you stand and eat. :(
OMG THE BURNT SQUID WAS THE BEST.
Chanced upon this Yakitori Street while we were walking home! Shinjuku just never fails to surprise me la.. we'll always find something new everyday. lol. We ended up buying lots of Yakitori back to the hotel for supper!
This time... HORSE AND WHALE SASHIMI. Hai..
Is the teeth whitener abrasive to the teeth? Thanks in advance!
