KNOW YOUR PIMPLES WELL!

Recently, I have been really REALLY TROUBLED over my bad complexion. It's probably not super super superrrr bad like having a breakout all over, making me looking very hideous... but it's bad enough for everyone to tell that something has gone wrong with my skin. :( Everytime when I am out on the streets, I pray so hard I wouldn't bump into anyone who knows me yada yada because I am self conscious like that. I don't want to be seen in such a bad-skin state. I don't even have the confidence to look at people face to face, just because of my complexion. If I could hide, I would...

Everything started during the mugging period during exams.. and it became worst especially during the last week of my exams. Everyone told me it was stress and that it'll be gone in no time, that was what I hoped so too. Fortunately, it really did become better when I was in Tokyo (all thanks to stress-free and the perfect cooling weather) and I was even more convinced that my skin was gonna get better!! UNTIL I ARRIVED IN OSAKA.... where the weather was much much hotter than in Tokyo.. the pimples came back. Honestly I am not even sure if they are pimples or RASHES? They felt more itchy than pain. And there were no pus or anything like that... It remained bad when I was in Hongkong... and better when I came back to Singapore. And even better when I was in Myanmar. Just last week... IT ALL CAME BACK AGAIN. I was so devastated..

So I'm thinking... there must be something wrong!! Like why the pimples keep popping out at the same area?!?! MY FOREHEAD. So I went to googled more about pimples on the forehead and found this pretty interesting "FACE MAPPING' fact. So today, I'm gonna share with you guys!!

AREA 1 & 2: THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
Causes: Digestive problems (hard time breaking down certain foods) // Small Intestine issues // Liver issues // Irregular sleep schedule // Stress // Bad tempers // too much worrying // too much sugary foods // Toxin build-up // Bangs
In general, high amounts of fat within your diet can lead to breakout across your forehead
Remedies: Eat less processed or junk food, reduce amount of fat in your diet, drink more water to flush out toxins, go to bed early (10pm) and wake up early (6am). Even if you can't fall asleep, it's good to relax so your liver can rest and be ready for 'work' the next day.

AREA 3: LIVER
Causes: Weak heart // too much alcohol // too much tobacco // Food allergy
Remedies: Cut out the alchohol, greasy food and dairy. Do 30 mins of light exercise and get adequate sleep!

AREA 4 & 5: KIDNEYS
Causes: Poor lymphatic circulation // Diet too high in fat // Gallbladder issues // too much processed food
Anything around the eyes (including dark eye circles) point to Dehydration!
Remedies: Keep yourself well-hydrated, drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. Avoid coffee, tea and salt whenever possible.

AREA 6: HEART
Causes: Poor diet // constipation // Bloating // indigestion // Poor blood circulation if skin on nose peels
Remedies: Check your blood pressure and Vitamin B levels. Decrease the intake of spicy/pungent foods, cut down on meat and get more fresh air. Besides this, look into ways to cut down cholesterol, replacing 'bad fats' with 'good fats' such as Omega 3 and 6 found in fishes, nuts and avocados. Also check that your makeup is not past its expiry date/skin clogging/irritating your skin.

AREA 7 & 8: KIDNEYS
Again, drink up!! Cut down on aerated drinks, coffee and alcohol as these will further cause dehydration!

AREA 9 & 10: RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS
Causes: Smoking // Allergies
If neither of these 2 is the issue, don't let your body overheat , eat more cooling food, cut down on sugar and get more fresh air! Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding food that makes the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugar) and consume more veggies and wheatgrass juice!
Another culprit would be having dirty cell phones and pillow cases!

AREA 11 & 12: HORMONES
Causes: Hormonal problems // kidney imbalance (for under the chin/face pimples) // Stress
Remedies: Getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water, eating leafy veggies and keeping skin clean!

AREA 13: STOMACH
If your diet has been loaded with rich and heavy foods, then consider a detox or adding more fibre to your diet and exercise/drink herbal teas to help with the digestion.

AREA 14: ILLNESS
Zits here can be a sign that your body is fighting bacteria to avoid illness. Give it a break, take a yoga class, take a nap, take time to breathe deeply, drink plenty of water and know that everything always work out!

Okay dokey it's been sucha wordy post and I hope this has been informative for you as much as it did for me!! Seems like I really gotta start sleeping early, drink more water and reduce the fat intake in my diet!! Ahhhh that means no more fried food for meeeeee... NOOOOOOO~~ :(
