10th Monthsary x Shiok Maki!!

Today the 8th of April 2013 is a really special day for Jj and I.
It's not only our 10th monthsary but also, it marks the exact 1 YEAR since we first officially became friends!! In just a blink of eye, it's been this long... It really does not feel like it's been a year?? Time is so scary. :( We are all ageing bit by bit everyday and yet we don't even notice the change, isn't it?

Anyway, on this special day, we decided to head over to Koh Grill & Sushi Bar before my 3-10pm lesson ohgawd! There has been much hype about this restaurant recently, especially over the 'Shiok Maki' and it seems like everyone is eating it la!! Like really. Everyday when I scroll through pictures in my instagram, CONFIRM I will see pictures of the Shiok Maki!!

We ordered the Bento Sets for our mains and this is Jj's Sashimi set!

And mine! Saba & Salmon Sashimi set!


Okay probably a tip for you! I think you could skip the Bento Set! Not that they are not nice... but I think I'd rather spend the money on the Makis than the Bentos!

Must instagram the food followed by using a proper camera to take pictures of the food!!

I wonder how I am gonna take pictures of my food when I am in Japan! I've heard and read forums that sometimes, the chef will scold you when you're taking pictures because they want you to eat the food when it is still piping hot and fresh! OH NO :(

Btw, this is Shiok Maki 1st Generation! The boyfriend was mentioning about this shiok maki the whole day ever since when we were in school! And he kept thanking me for introducing him the best sushi he has ever eaten as of now LOL. Got so serious anot!!!!

Anyway I kept telling him NO, THIS IS NOT THE BEST SUSHI! We shall eat the best sushi ever in 1 month++ time!!

On a side note, to be frank, the Shiok Maki did not WOAHHH me on my first bite. Don't get me wrong, IT IS GOOD. But perhaps I've read too many good reviews of it online until I had super high expectations of this Shiok Maki! But nonetheless, IT IS STILL SHIOK AND WORTH THE TRY! :D

Maki made up of Aburi Salmon (love love it will like MELT in your mouth?!?!), Unagi, Avocado topped off with lots of cheesy sauce and tobiko!! OMG ME WANTS SOME NOW!

I would love to go back again one day to try the Shiok Maki 2nd Generation and their Crappy Maki! What interesting names!! Heard the Pidan-Maki is the bombzxz as well but too bad both Jj and I hate Pidan (Century Egg)!
