Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift @ The Clifford Clinic

Together with my doctor, Dr Chow from The Clifford Clinic!

Being a female, I am definitely vain and am always looking for ways to enhance my looks! I mean, who doesn't want to look better right? However, I am really afraid of going under the knife (plastic surgery) and that's the reason why I usually opt for non-invasive procedures such as fillers and botox!

Last month, I made a trip down to The Clifford Clinic to learn more about the different non-invasive procedures that they provide, in particular, the Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift!

The Clifford Clinic is conveniently located in the Clifford Center, in the heart of Raffles Place!
A mere one minute walk away from Raffles Place MRT, The Clifford Clinic is a professional aesthetic clinic that specialises in natural looking results with minimal down time.

Here's how the interior of The Clifford Clinic looks like! Unlike conventional setup of clinics, I find that The Clifford Clinic looks really chic and cosy yet maintaining a clean look! Definitely looks very welcoming :D

What is Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift?
The Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift is a non-invasive procedure which is an alternative to traditional nose fillers. The Clifford Clinic is also one of the first few clinics in Singapore to provide this service as it is really important for the doctors to have surgical qualifications. The doctors in The Clifford Clinic are Members of the Royal College of Surgeons so you can be assured that you will be in safe hands!

Personally, I've had fillers on my nose before. However, fillers are almost impossible to lift the tip of my nose! So I was really quite excited when I found out from my doctor that Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift is able to do so!
Here are some benefits of Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift:
☑ Gives a natural looking nose bridge definition
☑ Straightens the nose bridge creating a straighter nose profile
☑ Helps to lift the nose tip to create a sharper tip
☑ Helps reduces nose tip for a more slender look
☑ Long lasting (2 years to permanent in some cases)
☑ Able to help button nose
☑ Creates a higher nose bridge
☑ It is a non-surgical procedure
☑ Procedure is really quick
☑ Short downtime (1-2days)
☑ Minimally invasive
☑ No risks

After consulting with my doctor, I decided to give the Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift a try to see if it works well for me! Before starting on the procedure, the friendly nurse first applied some numbing cream onto my entire nose!
As shown on the picture, 2 things I am unhappy with my nose:
1. Very rounded nose tip
2. My nose is generally quite sharp for an Asian. However there's like an arc/dent at my nose bridge area which I really hate!

By doing the Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift, I was hoping to achieve a more lifted nose tip as well as a more even nose bridge!
A selfie while waiting for the numbing cream to take its effect~

All smiles before starting with the procedure!
Dr Chow explaining to me what he'll be doing/how's the procedure like to give me a heads up!

Okay and here goes! First, Dr Chow administers a few injections of local anesthesia all around my nose to prevent me from feeling any pain during the Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift procedure.
Honestly speaking, this local anesthesia was painful to me! My threshold for pain is kinda low so while it is painful to me, it might not be as painful to some of you guys, so it really depends! That said, it was still bearable, especially when the local anesthesia effect kicks in! My entire nose became numb almost instantly so... PHEW!

Once Dr Chow has double confirmed with me that I no longer feel anything on my nose, he proceeded on with the procedure!
Okay so basically, the thread is kinda like hooked onto the needle which is then being inserted into my nose through the tip. Once the needle is in, Dr Chow will then dislodged the thread, so that the thread will stay in my nose before removing the needle.
This process would repeat a few times depending on how many threads your nose requires!

And yes, I know it looks painful and really disturbing but TRUST ME!!!
Thank God for the local anesthesia man!!

See!! I could even smile and pose for a picture halfway through the procedure! LOL

Dr Chow accessing my nose situation. This was after inserting 6 threads already - 4 on my entire nose bridge and 2 on the nose tip!

Checking myself outAnd by now, I could already see the difference!
Dr Chow then suggested inserting another 4 threads into my nose tip to lift it up further. Like I mentioned, my nose tip is very rounded so by lifting it up, it'll look sharper, slender and smaller!

In the process of inserting yet another thread into my nose!

And btw, here's how the thread looks like:
These are threads which are used in surgeries to stimulate collagen growth in the nose to get an increase in nose bridge height. As shown in the picture, this is a shorter thread used for the nose tip. For the entire nose bridge, the thread will be longer!

The threads have been scientifically proven to be fully absorbed by the body after some time. As they dissolve away, they create new collagen and tissue fibroblasts, which will result in tighter skin around the nose, enhancing the nose's definition and contour. Therefore, the threads act as scaffolding that immediately helps to give contour, lift and shape the nose as desired without going under the knife!

A clear picture of the nose thread procedure

And yes..... we were done in about 30mins? Such a fast procedure isn't it! And the results were immediate!
Happy me together with Dr Chow!

After undergoing the Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift procedure, I currently have a total of 10 threads inside my nose. 4 on my entire nose bridge and 6 on the tip of my nose! That's how much threads are needed for my rounded nose tip! LOL

Also, I was provided with 5 days worth of antibiotics medication, painkillers as well as antiseptic cream to be applied on the nose! My nose did feel slightly uncomfortable once the local anesthesia wore off but trust me, it wasn't really pain! It was more of soreness/nose felt really stiff? Definitely bearable because I didn't take any painkillers that they provided at all!

In summary:
1st day: slightly uncomfortable, sore and slight bruising
2nd & 3rd day: Sore and slight bruising. Had to apply my nose makeup really gently
4th - 6th day: No sore and bruise anymore but still have to be really gentle to the nose
A week later: No pain, no soreness! Could apply makeup as per usual and even use force on my nose!

A week later, I was back at The Clifford Clinic again for my nose review to see if everything was fine!

Dr Chow was really satisfied with the outcome of the nose! He also then suggested that I should do botox around my double chin area to make my face look even sharper! Well..... my double chin is really T_T
Even when I was super skinny back then, I still had double chin issues! Dr Chow said that botox around the double chin area could help me eliminate this issue and so I gave it a try as well!

This was not painful at all. A mere ant bite feeling! And this is coming from a person with a low threshold of pain ok!
Was even caught on camera for taking a selfie LOL

Here are some BEFORE vs AFTER pictures for comparison
(a) BEFORE // (b) AFTER (Immediately) // (c) AFTER (1 week later)
While the difference is not that big if you look at it from the front view, but there's definitely a significant difference from the side view! Just compare picture 3a and 3c as well as 5a and 5c.
You'll notice that the 'dent' is no longer as obvious, and my nose bridge is much more even and straighter! My nose tip is also being lifted up higher, making it less round and more slender (Pic 4a vs 4c)!

And here's the BEFORE vs AFTER pictures for the botox procedure at my double chin!
My chin is significantly SHARPER ALOT!! LOVE IT!!!!!

Thank you Dr Chow from The Clifford Clinic!

It is very important to have a good doctor as they will be able to make the best judgement! Furthermore, using the wrong number of threads/wrong technique or if the threads are too thick, it might even cause a scar and I know we all definitely do not want any scars on our nose right!!
I do not have any scars on my nose due to the Ultra V Hiko Nose Threadlift procedure so you can be assured that Dr Chow is a really reliable and experienced doctor!

So happy with my new face! It's a subtle change that no one would have realised if I didn't say anything (it's not as obvious as plastic surgery, hence it's very natural looking) yet it is enough to make me look so much better!
I think it is a really good alternative to fillers cuz it reduces the risk of spread, mitigation or lump formation! Plus the best part? It's able to last for at least 2 years or even permanent in some cases while fillers can only last for 6 months - 1 year!!
